We attended Crafty Con 2018 at the Old Yellow Cab Building last week, and had a blast! There was a great crowd, and so many awesome crafts, from soaps and lotions, to chocolate truffles, amazing cross-stitch, hand-made jewelry, and more.

Crafty Con 2018 is Coming Soon!

Crafty Con
Friday April 6, 2018 5-10 PM
The lure of hand crafted items is enough to get Dayton Unknown to come out. If it’s not enough for you, Crafty Con is also a fundraiser to raise money for Sideshow, a free celebration of the art and music scene in the Dayton area.

Let’s Get Funky, Dayton!
Grand opening tonight!
Known as The Land of the Funk throughout the 70s and 80s, Dayton is opening The Funk Music Hall of Fame and Exhibition Center. Its mission is to house and maintain Funk music memorabilia to educate the public about the history of Funk.
Exercise Dayton: Local Activities
Dayton is considered to be the 47th fattest city in America (source) Being healthy and active can be difficult to do alone. These are some local resources in the area to help you keep on track, with both indoor and outdoor options:
Exercise Dayton – Miamisburg Mound
Tired of the same exercise routine? Try visiting some of Dayton’s notable spots while you exercise!
116 steps leading from bottom to top, Miamisburg Mound is a great spot for a powerful stair climbing workout! The height of Miamisburg Mound is 65 feet, roughly equivalent to 6 stories.
Exercise Dayton – Link Bikes
If you’ve been in the downtown Dayton, no doubt you’ve seen the bright green Link Bikes in action.
Riders can access the bikes at any of twenty-four stations throughout the downtown area. Bikes are available for one time users, and memberships are also available. Trips are available for 30 minutes at a time, and if a rider wants to use the bike longer, they can either check the bike back in then check it out again, or they can keep the bike past 30 minutes and pay an additional fee.

A World A’Fair
It’s that time of year again! The World A’Fair is a three-day international festival including food, dancing, music, and cultural exhibits. The theme this year is Folk Medicine, and booths from over 30 countries will represent their take on this theme.
