David’s Cemetery Notable Burials

Located at the corner of David Road and Mad River Road in Kettering, David’s Cemetery has many notable burials:

  • Harry Schwab – Dayton golfer, won Senior P.G.A., died July 25th, 1976

  • Hadley Watts – former Superintendent of Centerville Schools, died August 9th, 1969

  • Richard E. Kelchner – founder of Kelchner Excavating Company, died July 15th, 2002

  • Clark Haines – founder of NCR Band in 1973, died 6/23/2001


  • Earl D. Creager – founder of Earl D. Creager Construction Company, died May 17th, 1981

  • Calvin T. Hubler – past Masonic Grand Master for the State of Ohio, died October 24th, 1976

  • Paul R. Young – former Prosecuting Attorney for Montgomery County, died January 11th, 1990

  • George Walther – industrialist, died April 10th, 1961

  • James Stuart – past CEO of Dayton Power & Light, died March 14th, 1975

  • Donna Moon – former County Commissioner, died September 19th, 1994

  • Edward D. Krahling – former newscaster of WHIO Radio/TV, died October 2nd, 1998

  • Dr. Robert Zipf – former Montgomery County Coroner, died November 1st, 2000

  • Ray W. Colie – former General Manager of WDTN-TV, died January 21st, 1993

  • Don Wayne – (Wesley Bouslog) former newscaster, WHIO TV, died June 1st, 1997

  • General Ronald S. Huey – General in WWII, strong force behind promoting Dayton, Ohio as Birthplace of Aviation, died December 2nd, 2003
