Dayton Unknown was lucky enough to meet with Andrew and talk with him about his show and learn more about him. Andrew was born and raised in the Dayton area, and spent ten years outside of Dayton working in voice acting, Shakespearean theater, musicals, comedies, and as a Golf Pro. He returned to Dayton at the end of 2015, with his wife Alexis. Currently, Andrew is a firefighter, Suicide Awareness Activist, Voice-Over Actor, Emcee, Ghostbuster, and now we can add Late Night Talk Show Host!

Andrew’s plans for the show are exciting and ambitious, with the goal to shine a spotlight on local history, people, and businesses in fun and exciting ways. With a fully-volunteer staff, the show will air on DATV, and currently records every two weeks, with plans to eventually sell to other platforms, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu, since it “doesn’t just stop in the 937.”
When we asked Andrew what he wants to make sure future viewers and the Dayton audience know about him, he said, “I want the city to know how thankful I am for all it’s done for me, and that I want to put us back on the map in a positive way. Look out world, we’re coming back for ya!”
Gem City Tonight will air on Saturdays at 8pm on DATV, with a re-air at Mondays at 12pm. According to DATV’s website, “DATV can be seen exclusively on Spectrum channel 5 in the City of Dayton, Riverside and Butler Twp. and channels 5, 6, or 23 in Dayton’s northern suburbs.” In addition, you can live-stream, and watch on YouTube.
